Description
As the City of Fishers has grown, so has the scope of the department that is responsible for making Fishers a fun and engaging place to live and play. The Fishers Parks Department is seeking a Part-Time Receptionist to help serve as an initial point of contact for customers visiting and contacting the Parks Offices and Maker Playground Facility. The position will also provide a wide variety of clerical support associated with the broad range of programs and events offered each year.

Shifts for this role will be 4 - 5 hours between 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday with the expectation to work approximately 20 - 29 hours per week based on business needs. Some evenings and weekends required.

Examples of Duties

• Answer telephone, respond to messages, and direct calls
• Assist with Membership Activation for Maker Playground
• Process and manage program registrations and rental facility reservations
• Maintain office supplies inventory, including purchasing and organizing contents
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail
• Perform miscellaneous clerical support duties

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED;
• Ability to work approximately 20-29 hours per week required;
• Role will work a 4 - 5 hour shift between the hours of 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday. Some evenings and weekends required.
• 1-3 years related work experience;
• Strong customer service skills;
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software;
• Ability to learn software programs used in the day-to-day operation of the department;
• Ability to work under pressure, maintain composure in stressful situations, and work well independently, and in a team environment.
